This sounds like a very interesting game Vince. I'm very intruiged to find out what happened in thoso 20 years. What made him so jaded? Where is his girlfriend now? Is she still waiting for him? The memory sheets are an interesting idea.

I hope you make this game one day. Good luck with it, and all your other projects.

But you know me Vince, I dont have said skills :) Ah well.... I'll find some way to weasel myself in.

Holy cow! I was not previously aware of Overclocked, but I am now! It's REMARKABLY similar to my pitch here. In response to both JBurger and the Overclocked parallels, I had originally taken inspiration from Memento and thought about how I could make a game which you played in reverse, similar to Memento. Overclocked seems to be doing it like this, playing back the memories in reverse order. While designing this game, however, I decided that playing the game in reverse, while creating some interesting narrative twists, wouldn't really affect the gameplay that much, and so decided to let the player decide the order in which to explore the memories. House of Tales seems to have realized this too, but instead of letting you play the memories in any order, you can play characters in any order (MAYBE, this wasn't 100% clear in the preview I read), and the memories of each character plays into the puzzles of other characters' memories.

It's kind of spooky how similar my idea is to theirs. I'm almost embarrassed I posted it now! Wow. Thanks for pointing that out, Snarky!

And thanks for the spot on comment JBurger!

And John, how about hooking up for some concept art for my next game pitch?! I've got another idea I need to clear out and it's right up your alley! I'll email you when I get around to writing the next one. Just a quick couple concept pieces. I wouldn't want to do anything to delay that delicious looking game of yours!

I always love your ideas, Vince, and I'm happy you're sharing them with us. I also think you're totally right that putting them down like this will allow you to think about other things. That's always my problem: As soon as I write down an idea, it lets go of me, and then I never get around to actually making a complete game.

Anyway, this is a cool, well-rounded concept. Are you aware of 'Overclocked' from House of Tales? It's apparently doing something similar, but from the point of view of the psychologist.

Sounds like somebody's been watching Memento--which is not to say that is a bad thing, because Memento would make an awesome adventure game.

In otherwords, this sounds like it would be an awesome game.

I'd love to work with you on a game sometime. But then, I should probably finish my own game first.
