Best of luck with this. It really is amazing that people put in so much effort into projects like this. We should all of us help to support people like yourselves. I will definately be buying this as my sister really enjoyed Spooks.

Once again best wishes to you and your family.

Thanks everybody for the comments! We're all keeping up the hard work!

Snarky, I hope that the GUI works to make things easier for the player rather than harder. I don't agree that a game has to just be an interface to struggle against (which I believe we've discussed before). I want the challenge to be in thinking and considering what to do next rather than how to do it, so hopefully the GUI can do it's job and act as a natural means of communication between of the player's intentions and the character rather than a barrier between them.

As for the overall progress, I find it hard to make such estimations. I can tell you that about half the background art is done, but several of other rooms are in place with programmer art. Programming-wise, The game system itself (The GUIs, sliding inventories, custom dialog system, switchable characters, all the other custom stuff) is all in place. That was pretty much my first three months of programming. As for the gameplay, I have a goal of completing the first (of three) acts by May with all art and everything, which would be a huge milestone for us. That isn't to say that nothing is done beyond the first act, since most rooms are reused and revisited, and I've done several other scenes in the second. Not much has been done for the third act, however.

I don't know how to extrapolate a percentage out of that, though. Hope that helps!

The details you have invested into this game are outstanding. I love the quality! This is by far the most elegant and well thought out adventure game interface I've seen. Thank you for sharing.

That's the coolest video developer's diary I've ever seen. The two of you should be hosting Late Night instead of that Jimmy Fallon guy! (And Dave Gilbert should seriously consider just grabbing the nearest kid the next time he's broadcasting from Starbucks.)

The game looks fantastic. I love the sliding effect on the touchscreen UI, and the clever touches on the main GUI (like the fact that it auto-selects the right inventory based on what you've "picked up") really makes the whole idea seem viable despite its complexity.

I just played 'Anna' the other day (after remembering that I never completed it), and it reminded me of how much I enjoy the games you've made to date. So while I admire the slickness of this WIP, patience is a lot to ask for. Could you give us any idea of overall progress?

That's a really adorable child you have there, you look really like the first image you had Mash do for you. Just watching and typing, wow really nice animations there Vince, it feels so alive, and overwhelming, it sort of makes me wanna scream like robocop182(your daughter I'd guess). The interface is really what I like to call a rubber. Flexible as your needs require. I had my worries that this game would really have a confusing interface, but instead it's really really perfect, well done, I'm sure it must have been two hells scripting this stuff..looking forward to the final result.
