The Blackwell Legacy Debuts

Wow, two commercial AGS game releases in the same week!

Dave Gilbert has released his second foray into commercial game development. His first game The Shivah was released earlier this year to great reviews and has picked up some nice media attention thanks to the Manifesto Games press releases.

His new game The Blackwell Legacy carries a steeper price tag, at a penny under fifteen bucks, but it also comes with some beautiful 2D graphics, (Characters by Ian Schlaepfer of Herculean Effort) an awesome score, and excellent voice acting.

Since I’m all about supporting the AGS community, I’ve gone and purchased both this game and Hurculean’s Super Jazz Man. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be out of commission, having surgery and then spending four days in an internet-barren recovery room. I’ll be diving into both of these games to help me pass the hours and I’ll write up a review of each.

So, Merry Christmas to all (both) of my readers. I’ll report on both of these games when I’m back on my feet.

Happy Holidays!!! Best wishes for your surgery. Enjoy the video game time you get afterwards. We’re thinking of you here in Omaha.
